Sue-Ellen at Sydney CDI
HRC Cascador was offered as a loan horse in the Gow Gates Prix St George Derby and Horseland Teams Competition. HRC Cascador was ridden by international rider, Lucy Miller from Ireland. The pair cam came 7th in the PSG individual competition and 3rd in the Horseland Teams Competition. A great result for Sue-Ellen and HRC Cascador's first outting together. Sue-ellen could not have been a prouder mum as her big beautiful grey man performed superbly with an unknown rider.
Ko-Olina performed beautiful for his last "dance" in front of huge crowd in the indoor with the pair scoring 61.844% in the PSG and super 62.500% in the Intermediate I. Another stunning performance for them both - a great way to end a stella career together before heading off to days of R&R.
Whilst it was a highly excited CDI, the end came all to quickly as on Sunday morning, Ko-Olina was loaded onto a separate float owned by one of Sue-Ellen's sponsors, Moira Kelly from HRC Group and Darlington Stud where he will live out his semi retirement and enjoying rides around her beautiful property. I can only image how difficult it would have been for Sue-Ellen to say goodbye. At least she know's he's going to be looked after equally well if not better (is that possible) and can visit him any time! Ko-Olina - enjoy your semi retirement, you have most certainly deserved it!
Sue-ellen & Ko-Olina, thank you for the joy and the inspiration you have given to so many.
