Megan Jones wins CIC3*** at Equestriad Eventing

Equestriad Eventing this weekend took over Camden, as usual the committee ran a high quality top level event, that is fast becoming one of the premier events in NSW and Australia, this weekend attracted all the big players in the Australian Eventing world with over 600 entries. This weekend’s event largely recognised as one of the final opportunities for riders vying for a place on the Olympic team to show their worth to the selection panel, it was a hard fought out event from start to finish.

It would be no surprise to regular readers that our Equissage riders were right up there again this weekend in the CIC 3*** class, with the fantastic Megan Jones from South Australia taking out the win on her horse Kirby Park Allofasudden, Megan Commented "Floyd was such a star he jumped like he was possessed".

Shane Rose had a very successful weekend taking out 3rd place on Statford Neo but not to let that be his only result he also took out 5th place in the same class on APH Moritz and Natalie Blundell placed 9th on her wonderful mount Algebra.

Equissage would like to congratulate all our riders on their fantastic performances over the weekend.

Stay tuned for more results to come from Equestraid.

Camden Equestriad CIC this weekend.

Camden Equestriad is largely viewed as the last opportunity for our Aussie based Eventing riders to get in front of Olympic selectors before the team is put together for the London Olympics.
Equissage clients such as Shane Rose, and Natalie Blundell to name a few will be putting their best foot forward in the CIC 3*** this weekend in the hopes of catching the attention of the selectors and gain the coveted position in the Australian Olympic Eventing team.

With over 600 horses heading out to Camden for the Equestriad CIC this weekend it is a good idea to book in early for your free Equissage demonstration with Kylie over the weekend by calling her on 0404 094 690, never fear if you are not sure of times over the weekend simply go and visit the girls at the Equissage trade tent to learn all about how Equissage can benefit your horse and arrange a time to see it in action.

Good luck to all our Equissage Clients competing this weekend!

Equissage Perfect for Rehabilitation

Equissage client Erin Loudon from Performance Horses Inc yesterday took time out of her busy schedule to treat the horses from Heavy Horse Heaven a specialised Clydesdale and Heavy Horse rescue group located in Royalla.

Black Caviar wins 21 straight!!

Black Caviar wins her 21st straight win in the Group One Goodwood.
The great mare beat We're Gonna Rock after taking the lead early in the race, I don’t think there is anyone who can question the impact that this mare is having on the Australian Racing industry, and Equissage Australia is more than proud to be a part of her success.

Sue-Ellen at Sydney CDI

Melissa Cantrall & Simone Pye, Sunday, Equestrian Australia Website 6 May 2012
Last Monday, Sue-ellen and her trusty husband, groom and support person extraordinaire, Matt Manny loaded their two horses, the fabulous Ko-Olina we all know and love and her new horse, the big grey man,  HRC Cascador, and headed off to the 2012 Sydney CDI.  This years CDI would be one full of emotion for Sue-ellen and her team as Ko-Olina would not be coming home...

HRC Cascador was offered as a loan horse in the Gow Gates Prix St George Derby and Horseland Teams Competition. HRC Cascador was ridden by international rider, Lucy Miller from Ireland.  The pair cam came 7th in the PSG individual competition and 3rd in the Horseland Teams Competition.  A great result for Sue-Ellen and HRC Cascador's first outting together.  Sue-ellen could not have been a prouder mum as her big beautiful grey man performed superbly with an unknown rider.

Ko-Olina performed beautiful for his last "dance" in front of huge crowd in the indoor with the pair scoring 61.844% in the PSG and super 62.500% in the Intermediate I.  Another stunning performance for them both - a great way to end a stella career together before heading off to days of R&R.
Whilst it was a highly excited CDI, the end came all to quickly as on Sunday morning, Ko-Olina was loaded onto a separate float owned by one of Sue-Ellen's sponsors, Moira Kelly from HRC Group and Darlington Stud where he will live out his semi retirement and enjoying rides around her beautiful property.  I can only image how difficult it would have been for Sue-Ellen to say goodbye.  At least she know's he's going to be looked after equally well if not better (is that possible) and can visit him any time!  Ko-Olina - enjoy your semi retirement, you have most certainly deserved it!
Sue-ellen & Ko-Olina, thank you for the joy and the inspiration you have given to so many.
